Mahonia Hall, 533 Lincoln Street S, (NR)

This 1924 English Tudor residence was designed by Abbott Lawrence of Portland for Thomas Livesley, prominent hop grower, builder of the Capitol Tower Building and “Good Roads” mayor of Salem. Situated at the end of Lincoln Street at the top of Fairmount Hill, its location and generous size makes it ideal as the governor’s residence. See 1958 photograph.
