The early history of this vernacular residence is unknown. Early owners were Charles Hawkins, Mrs. Mary Cooke, W. H. Nunn, Charles Towle, Emma Tuthill and M. E. Paul. The owner from 1920 to 1948 was Helen Hayden. The present owners are converting it back for single-family occupancy after it was used as an apartment for many years.
