Built by Gottlob and Wilhelmena Pade, recent immigrants, this bungalow was also home for their son, Bernhardt. By 1921, Ben had married Leona and was a partner in Simon & Pade, a grocery store. He operated Pade’s Market until retirement 1965. After 1975, she lived here as a widow until 1985 and was well known for her garden of nature and rare plants.
