Hurd, 1315 Marion Street NE, (LL)

Early records indicate this house was a rental for much of its existence. Some early owners included W. E. Hayes, Alice Starr, P. H. Marley, W. L. and E. C. Chapman, and Arthur and Ethel Mather. In 1921 Conifred Hurd, a teacher at Washington School, bought the property. Granville Hurd, in the insurance business, also lived here. See 1978 photograph.
