Kitchen/Miles, 2285 Lansing Avenue NE, (D)

Originally owned by Ed Kitchen, Ross Miles bought this 1920s house in 1939. It is relatively unchanged since they left in 1959. As orchard and farmland along the roadway were sold for building lots at the conclusion of World War II, smaller houses began filling the spaces. Only a few older ones remain as a reminder of the original appearance of this quiet, tree-lined road.
