This 1913 Craftsman residence was built by Ralph Jones. Newly arrived from the Mid-West, he was eager to demonstrate his construction abilities. He lived in the home until 1926 when it was purchased by Charles and Grace Sherman. He was a professor of Philosophy and Psychology at Willamette University and she a supporter of the local music community. Their four children were raised here. He passed away in 1963, she in 1978.
